We all love a little bit of Eurovision, don’t we? Coming at you from all parts of the world, it’s not easy to miss whether your competitor is being interviewed weeks ahead or it’s on TV that day, you just can't get away from it. The UK has been part of this 63 year European event since 1957.
How many entries do you think? Well it’s 60 and we’ve won five times. Being first and winning in 1967, 1969, 1976, 1981 and 1997 is a fabulous achievement. Will it happen this year? Our entry ‘Storm’ by SuRie has some advantages.
1. People are saying she’s a younger Annie Lennox so a memorable and meaningful performance will be given.
2. With a synth-pop, dance and pop vibe we have more of a chance as some countries have won with songs in these genres.
3. She has been and had the experience of Eurovision so knows more than most how it operates and the music others prefer… SuRie was only a backing singer and in the audience last year. We wish her all the luck in the world.

But have you heard Czech Republic's entry by Mikolas Josef? Lie To Me?
I think this is a funky song. When I first heard it, I thought is the UK going to win anymore? Us British need to stick together and support our own but this song is definitely a contender.
With trumpet beginnings, light cello notes and smooth pop- r'n'b beats that get you hooked within seconds is always a good sign. Mikolas is so cool as well.
I know which song I am supporting. Do you?
